Behaviour Therapy The aim of this comprehensive behavioural service is to help you live in harmony with your dog. A well behaved, sociable and happy dog is a pleasure to live with. Behaviour therapy modifies your dog’s poor behaviour. The Behaviour Therapy service offers a one to one behavioural therapy service for dog owners conducted in your home. The first stage is to assess your dog in its own environment seeing the problem at first hand. This gives me an opportunity to not only observe your dog but also its interaction with you its owners and surroundings plus finding out about the history of your dog As part of the assessment it maybe necessary to refer your dog back to its veterinary surgeon for further clinical investigation to eliminate any physical reason for its behaviour. I believe it is very important for me to work closely with your dog’s veterinary surgeon to give every chance to modify your dog’s behaviour. The second stage is to develop a personalised behavioural modification plan for your dog. I work with the owner demonstrating how to implement the plan and follow this up with a detailed written report to assist you put into practise the remedial programme for your dog. A copy of this report can also be sent to your dog’s veterinary surgeon for their information to ensure continuity of advice. The third stage of the service is a follow up visit a month later plus ongoing telephone/email support for the life of the dog. Is Your Dog?
