Are you getting a puppy and need advice to get you started.

Owning a new puppy is a wonderful experience but also a huge responsibility. Puppy training with our puppies starts from the day we bring them home.

Just because a puppy is sweet, small and cuddly you need to start as you mean to go on. Taliswood Dog Training offers home visits for puppies up to six months to give advice on all aspects of bringing up a puppy. The visit will last approximately 2 hours and cover the following:

Socialising your puppy
Puppy guidance advice
Toilet training
Training guidelines
How to focus your puppy’s attention on you
Play to motivate your puppy
The sit, down and stand
Walking on the lead                       
The recall
The stay and wait exercises
Do’s and Don’ts in training

To accompany the visit you will receive a free copy of “Training Your Puppy” by John Taylor. The aim of this booklet is to share with you a positive reward based approach to training to help you have a sociable well behaved dog. The emphasis throughout this booklet is on rewarding your puppy with titbits and toys. The ideas in this booklet are to help you to achieve your training goals for your puppy.
